Fresh FM
Keep the Community Glowing is a mini-series from Cultural Conversations, sharing the stories of everyday people creating safety, trust, and connection across our community through the Community Advocates campaign, in partnership with Motueka Family Service Centre.
The series supports community champions with skills and information to help navigate conversations that may arise around living free from family harm, including how to respond when discussions about anger or harmful behaviour come up. The purpose is to strengthen protective factors for whānau by promoting healthy relationships.
The wider Community Advocates project can also be seen through a series of powerful photographs by Peanut Butter Vibes Photography, pairing each community advocate with their personal quote and message. To learn more and see the campaign, visit culturalconversations.co.nz.
Tasman District Council
Tasman Report is a fortnightly podcast about the work of your council. About Fresh FM
Fresh FM is a not-for-profit charitable trust and community access radio station, funded through NZ On Air, grants, sponsorship, and donations.
From our studios in Nelson, in beautiful Founders Heritage Park, Motueka, and Golden Bay, we make space for the many voices of Te Tauihu, the Top of the South.
Our role is to support access, connection, and participation. We provide the studios, training, broadcast platforms, podcasting, and encouragement that help people be heard, especially voices that are not always represented in mainstream media.
Through our FM frequencies and online platforms, Fresh FM shares local stories, music, cultures, ideas, concerns, and lived experiences with listeners here at home and around the world.
